Every family begins with a complimentary visit at Loving Arms. This initial conversation gives us time to learn about your pregnancy, your hopes for birth, and ensure midwifery care is the right fit for you.
From there, you’ll receive attentive prenatal care, hands-on support during labor and birth, newborn evaluation, and thoughtful postpartum follow-up. Our care is individualized, unhurried, and grounded in both clinical training and faith.

We provide care exclusively for low-risk pregnancies. All of our midwives and students are certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). As Licensed Midwives, we are trained to recognize what is normal during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum — and to quickly identify when something is not.
We work within our scope of practice to manage concerns, and if additional care is needed, we coordinate referral or transfer to a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist, the emergency room, or the nearest hospital, located approximately 1.6 miles from our birth center.

Yes. Midwifery and out-of-hospital birth are legal in the state of Florida. We are Licensed Midwives, licensed by the State of Florida, and our birth center is fully licensed as well.
Yes. We accept Medicaid (including Humana and Sunshine) and work with some commercial insurance plans. We’re happy to discuss your specific coverage in detail during your complimentary consultation. Payment plans are also available, with all balances due by your 36-week appointment.
No, not unless an issue arises during pregnancy, labor, birth, or postpartum that requires additional medical care. We follow the same general visit schedule as an OB. We require an anatomy scan and perform routine labs during your prenatal appointments.
During pregnancy, we monitor your baby’s heart tones using a doppler or fetoscope. During labor, we listen to heart tones at regular intervals using a doppler, allowing for mobility and a more natural birth experience.
